About Us
Based in Bristol, England, Homeward was launched by three broadcast and commercial video professionals with over 12 years of industry expertise between them.
We're fueled by the strong belief that, collectively, visual storytelling can have a positive impact on society.
While having a strong track record of producing films for brands and industry partners, we actively contribute to independent films and television programs.
The three of us met during our studies and collaborated on short films before starting our professional careers and later launching Homeward.
Meet The Team
Charlie Derham
Charlie graduated with a First-class degree from Screennology film school.
Over the last five years, he has collaborated with television presenter Martin Roberts, documenting his DIY property journey.
During his spare time, Charlie is a jack of all trades, indulging in DIY building, tinkering with computer hardware and tackling motor mechanics.
Jake Mason
Also graduating from Screenology, Jake has made several award-winning films, most notably 'Dark Cloud' the story of a First Nation man living in Bristol.
He completed an internship at Western Edge Pictures and has worked as a producer with Academy Award winning Slick Films.
Jake also works at South West News Service as a video editor.
Nathanael Marklew
Studying at Plymouth University Nathanael became enamoured with more artistic and experimental filmmaking while shooting his entire graduation film on 16mm.
Moving to Bristol to study a Master's Degree in Photography he cemented himself as a serial film and photography collaborator,
Since graduating he's become a part of the scenery at the watershed, attending every week.
